Myles Shear, music manager to Norwegian DJ and record producer Kygo, has just closed on a new waterfront home in Miami Beach, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The price: $8.6 million.
According to public records, Shear has acquired a 5,000-square-foot, five-bedroom house sited on a waterway not far from Miami Beach’s main strip of hotels and restaurants. The transaction closed on Oct. 5 in an off-market deal.
Its new owner — known as Manager Myles on Instagram — was born and raised in Miami, according to Ocean Drive Magazine, and is the co-founder, along with Kygo, of Palm Tree Crew, which includes a live events business and investment platform. Shears discovered Kygo’s music on Soundcloud around a decade ago; the artist released his fourth album, Thrill of the Chase, last year.

The red-tile-roofed home features floor-to-ceiling windows offering water views, and the property includes a swimming pool and spa surrounded by lush tropical plantings of palm trees, ornamental grasses and bamboo. Joel Lusky and Zalmy Shapiro of The Brokerage South Florida represented the seller, while Jordan Karp of Jordan Karp LLC repped Shear.
“I’m so proud of Miami,” Shear recently said to Ocean Drive Magazine. “I never imagined I could be a music manager or investor growing up, simply because the city didn’t have that to offer. Fast-forward to now, and everything seems to be happening in Miami. It’s a whole new world that people look up to. Over the next 10 years, I see Miami continuing to grow and becoming a hub for creations that will change the world.”
Other recent residential real estate transactions in Miami Beach include the $10.3 million home that retired Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn bought for $10.5 million in August and a home sold by Lil Wayne in March for $22.58 million. The house purchased by Shear previously sold in July 2022 for $5.425 million and was extensively renovated.
